Ahmiri Ahmedi Azizi is an asylum seeker who posted an Islamic State propaganda video on Instagram which called for attacks on the West in response to the terrorist bombing at Liverpool Women’s Hospital.
He allegedly shared video after the most shocking and horrific event footage in British history in which a a man died in the back of a taxi following his device exploding.
Alongside the video were posted emojis of a raised index finger and black flags which were clear Islamic State symbols.
After the terrorism footage was shared, Azizi then viewed a video on how to make a silencer for an automatic rifle later that month, the court heard.
His defence lawyer told the court, he was trafficked to the United Kingdom from Iran ‘in the back of a lorry’ to Sheffield where he worked in a car wash and then a takeaway.
Azizi is accused of seven counts of disseminating terrorist material between June and November last year through either via Instagram or the encrypted Telegram app.
