ISIS attacked Iraqi forces in Makhmour and killed at least four soldiers

The Islamic State (IS) militants overnight on Monday attacked the Iraqi federal police forces in Makhmour, southwest of Erbil, reportedly killing four policemen.

The casualties were confirmed by a Peshmerga source who spoke to Kurdistan 24.

Elsewhere in the disputed town, the Iraqi forces opened fire at a civilian truck, killing the driver.
The source said that the truck caught fire after the attack. It was earlier reported as a car bomb attack, but rejected by the source.
