ISIS leader al-Baghdadi orders 320 of his followers to be killed for disloyalty

October 11, 2018 » Today News

Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi has reportedly ordered that hundreds of his followers be killed for disloyalty to ISIS.

The Islamic State chief demanded that even some leading figures in Iraq and Syria be murdered, Iraqi intelligence reports are said to claim.

The extremist group has lost about 90 per cent of the territory it controlled in 2014 when al-Baghdadi declared himself head of its Caliphate.

He has now ‘issued an order to kill 320 of his followers’ for their ‘betrayal’ of ISIS and their ‘recklessness’ which ‘inflicted heavy losses on the group in both Iraq and Syria’, Iraqi News report intelligence sources as saying.

High-profile commanders said to be on the hit list include Abu al-Baraa al-Ansari, Sief al-Din al-Iraqi, Abu Otham al-Tal Afari, Abu Iman al-Mowahed and Marawan Hadid al-Suri.

Some ISIS militants fled to unknown locations in fear of their lives after learning of al-Baghdadi’s plans, Iraqi News report.

In September last year he released an audio message urging his followers to burn their enemies everywhere and target ‘media centres of the infidels’.

Baghdadi became leader of al-Qaeda in 2010. The US are offering a reward of $25million for information that would help locate, arrest or convict him.
