Turkey blacklists over 4,000 Russians over suspected ties to ISIS terrorist group

Over four thousand Russian citizens have been put on a black list by the Turkish government over the alleged links to ISIS terrorist group.

Turkey has blacklisted more than 4,000 Russian citizens and deported 804 Russians since 2011 over their suspected links to ISIS, the Turkish Interior Ministry said in a report published Monday.

A total of 53,781 foreigners from 146 countries are included in the list, most of them from Saudi Arabia (7,523), Tunisia (4,605) and Russia (4,128), according to the report.

Turkey has deported 4,957 foreigners over alleged Daesh ties since 2011, with Russian citizens first among the deportees, followed by the citizens of Indonesia (435) and Tajikistan (308).
