Brahim Aouissaoui

Born: 1999;

Place of Birth: Tunisia;

Gender: Male;

Nationality: Tunisian;

General Info:
Aouissaoui is a 21-year-old Tunisian, originally from the village of Sidi Omar Bouhajla near Kairouan, but had lately been living in Sfax.

He reportedly was carrying an Italian Red Cross identity document that was issued after his arrival in Lampedusa, an Italian island, in September.

Weeks later, the suspect arrived by train to Nice with his Red Cross documents, then changed his clothes at the train station before walking to the church to carry out the attack.

Aouissaoui had gone to the Notre-Dame church in Nice, soon after arriving in Nice on Thursday morning looking for a place to sleep, his sister Afef said. He had shown them the area and said he planned to rest in a building opposite the church.

Aouissaoui had a copy of the Koran, two phones and three knives when he entered the church at about 8:30 a.m.

He slit the throats of a 60-year-old woman and a 55-year-old man (one was beheaded), and stabbed a 44-year-old woman who managed to flee but later died of her wounds.
