Dozens of civilians dead and 15 houses are destroyed after ISIS amunitions explode in Deir Ezzur

A series of blasts that occurred in a house used by ISIS militants to store their munitions, resulted in deaths of dozens of people and a complete destruction of some 15 buildings in Syria’s Deir Ezzur.

Accounts by several media outlets said the blasts in the Eastern Syrian province of Deir Ezzur killed at least 20 people, Sputnik reported.

According to the Chinese news agency Xinhua, three explosions were heard in the area controlled by ISIL terror group,

The blasts reportedly razed 15 nearby houses and destroyed several vehicles.

The province has a large ISIL presence. Its capital city of Deir Ezzur, retained by the Syrian government, has been under siege since 2014. It is receiving UN aid through airdrops carried out daily by Russian warplanes.
