An electrician who operated in the Gaza Strip and is a member of the Gaza Popular Resistance Committees, was indicted by the Israeli Southern District Prosecution for many terrorist activities committed over the period of 15 years, mostly by providing tools for Hamas to fire rockets at Israel.
As part of his activities, the suspect, Fadi Kadas, assisted in firing of dozens of rockets at Israel, digging tunnels and hiding rockets, sending explosive balloons to Israel and more.
The Southern District Attorney’s Office noted that the suspect provided Hamas with timers and electrical boards used to time several rockets to launch simultaneously.
Moreover, the suspect assisted Hamas operatives in different activities during operations Pillar of Cloud and Protective Edge, including digging offensive tunnels, preparing rockets and providing electricity for the tunnels and digging sites.
The indictment described how, as part of an Israeli retaliation operation to the firing of rockets, the suspect was injured and received compensation benefits of $300 from Fatah operatives.
Kadas is facing nine different charges ranging from providing assistance to a terror organization to multiple cases of attempted murder. The Attorney’s Office has requested that the defendant remain in custody until he faces trial, and that the trail take place behind closed doors.
