Espen Andersen Brathen is the alleged bow and arrow terrorist who killed five people in the town of Kongsberg, Norway.
He is a Danish citizen and Muslim convert who had previously been flagged by authorities over concerns that he had become radicalized.
Brathen posted a video on his Facebook, speaking in English: “Hello. I’m a messenger. I come with a warning. Is this really what you want? And for all who want to make up for themselves, so it’s time. Bear witness that I am a Muslim.”
The Facebook video was was flagged to police in 2017 according to the Norwegian media.
Also in 2017, Brathen published two videos on YouTube, where he conveyed threats that he would do something. The video was later taken down.
In the terrorist attack he used a bow-and-arrow, as well as other weapons, according to the police authorities.
