Gulmurod Salimovich Khalimov

Khalimov is former Tajikistan special operations colonel, police commander and military expert.
Now he is a Syria-based Islamic State member and recruiter.
Khalimov was the commander of a special paramilitary unit in the Tajikistan Ministry of Interior.
From 2003 to 2014, Khalimov participated in five counterterrorism training courses in the US and in Tajikistan.
He disappeared in late April 2015, and appeared on 28 May 2015, in a propaganda video confirming that he fights for Islamic State.
In Septemeber 2016, he was reported to have been appointed as the minister of war of Islamic State in place of Abu Omar Al-Shishani.
