Huge military operation launched to hunt Islamic State terrorists in Nineveh

Military units of the army and the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) began a huge military operation on Monday to expel ISIS militants from JJazerra Nineveh .

A security source said today, that the operation involves the Popular Mobilization Forces Brigade (Brigade 44, Brigade 33, Brigade 25, the Thunder Regiment and the Urban PMF) in addition to brigades from the Iraqi army (Brigade 21 and Brigade 43).

The operation is backed by Iraqi army aviation, military engineering, and the Shield Resistance of the PMF, according to the source.
