Islamic State releases picture of al-Baghdadi’s slain son

A picture of Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi’s son Hudhayfah al-Badri, who was killed in an operation in Syria earlier this month, was released by the Islamic State (IS) in Afghanistan and Pakistan.

The IS’ propaganda agency, Amaq, announced that al-Badri was killed by the Russian and Syrian military forces in an operation in Homs on July 3, according to several media reports.

It is still not confirmed whether al-Bahgdadi, is killed or injured. However, it is likely to believe that he is still alive.

A terrorism research group TRACterrorism.org, taking to Twitter handle posted the image, showing al-Badri carrying a file with a message saying:

“(CGI) #IslamicState supporter poster depicting Hudhayfah al-Badri, son of Abu Bakr #Baghdadi killed by #Russian military”.
