Islamic State landmine explodes killing two children in Deir ez-Zor countryside

SOHR sources say that two displaced children were killed in landmine explosion left over from ISIS reign near the Al-Azba station, north of Deir ez-Zor.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has documented the death of a young man in a landmine left over from the war in the village of Kafr Sajneh, which is controlled by regime forces and loyal militias, in the southern Idlib countryside.

An increasing number of people killed recently by a landmine, unexploded bombs, and collapse of war-damaged residential buildings in various Syrian areas and cities such as Homs, Hama Deir Ezzor, Aleppo, and southern Syria.

The Syrian Observatory has documented since January 2019 to date some 371 fatalities, including 71 women and 111 children. Of the total number, the Syrian Observatory documented the deaths of 45 people, including 30 women and five children, in their search and collect for “Syrian wild truffles”, which put their lives at risk, “Syrian wild truffles” grow in areas that are exposed to heavy rains and are sold at high prices.
