Islamic State terrorist group claims the attack on a Syrian security officer

The Islamic State (ISIS) announced that it had killed an Assad regime security member in Daraa province in the third operation it has announced since the end of its influence in the area.

On Tuesday, the organization’s Amaq agency published an image of a security ID that belonged to the victim, saying he belonged to the Air Force Intelligence branch and that his name was Hassan Radeeman.

The agency did not specify where the security member was killed or how he was hit. Twitter accounts said that the killing occurred after he was kidnapped from the Basr al-Harir area in the eastern Daraa countryside.

On Jun. 4, 2019, ISIS announced an operation against regime forces in Daraa province, the first declaration of its kind since the regime took control over the organization’s positions in the Yarmouk basin more than 10 months ago.

The second operation was on Jul. 28, 2019, when ISIS announced it had killed 18 members of Assad forces in a clash in Daraa.
