Kyrgyzstan authorities foiled two terrorist attacks in 2020

The National Security Committee foiled two terrorist plots in 2020, said Chairman of the National Security Committee Kamchybek Tashiyev at a December 24 press conference.

The National Security Committee has launched 229 criminal probes in 2020, he said.

29 terrorists and their accomplices were detained, including 7 militants in armed conflict zones. 28 extremists were detained.

Criminal charges were brought against 35 people, 19 foreign jihadists were detained and 19 individuals were convicted.
