Over 15 hideouts belonging to the Islamic State (IS) jihadist group were destroyed on Monday in the Iraqi provinces of Diyala and Mosul, a press release said.
The hideouts were targeted by the pro-Iranian Hashd al-Shaabi militias, the statement explained, adding that five of them were destroyed in Badush Mountains, northeast of Mosul, and seven more in the south of the city.
Meanwhile, the militias also targeted four more hideouts of the insurgent group in the province of Diyala.
As cited by Alghad Press,a statement by the Hashd al-Shaabi media center said that the militiamen were backed by the Iraqi Air Force, pointing that inside the hideouts were clothes, wireless devices, and food supplies.
They further dismantled six explosive charges during the Monday’s military campaign.
