ISIS claims responsibility for one of the coordinated attacks in Kabul

The ISIS terrorist group in Afghanistan, ISIS Khurasan, has claimed responsibility for one of the coordinated attacks in Kabul city.

The group has released a statement in Arabic language claiming that the attack on a police station in Dasht Barchi was carried out by a group of suicide bombers of ISIS Khurasan.

There are still no credible information available regarding the exact number of people killed or wounded in the attack.

But a security source in the area says at least six people have been killed and a number of others have sustained injuries in the attack.

The ministry of interior spokesman Najib Danish earlier had confirmed that the Special Forces are busy conducting clearance operations to eliminate the assailants who have taken position in a building in the area.

The attack in Dasht Barchi was carried out minutes before a group of insurgents launched a similar attack in Shahr Naw area of the city.

The Emergency Hospital in Kabul says at least six people have been shifted to the hospital from the incidents sites and one of them succumbed to his injuries shortly after he was brought to the hospital.
