Six citizens of Kazakhstan detained in Afghanistan for Islamic State membership

Six citizens of Kazakhstan have been detained in Afghanistan for membership in ISIL, reports Bakhtar news.

“Six citizens of Kazakhstan are ISIL fighters, they have been detained by the national security service in the province of Nimurz,” reads the message. One of them has confessed.

“Pavel, known as Abdulla, a citizen of Kazakhstan, his wife and three children were arrested in Zaranj. He confessed to joining ISIL three years ago and involvement in terror activity in different parts of the Eastern province of Nangarhar,” said the message.
