Sixteen people accused of assisting the Islamic State and Taliban in eastern Kunar and northern Takhar provinces

At least 16 people were arrested accused of cooperating with IS-K and Taliban terrorist groups in eastern Kunar and northern Takhar provinces within the last 24 hours.

According to BNA report, Ministry of Interior by releasing a statement reported that Afghan special police personnel by launching a military operation succeeded to detain 10 people accused of assisting with IS-K in Khadi Khail region, Chawki district of Kunar province.

Some weapons, ammunitions and advertising’s documents have been seized from the suspects, the statement added.

Also, six people accused of cooperating with Taliban group were arrested during a military operation conducted by Afghan police personnel in relevant areas of Taliqan city the provincial capital of Takhar province, the statement further added.

The dossiers of the people after primary investigations have been delivered to judicial organs, the statement concluded.
