Taliban terror attack repulsed in Balkh

The Taliban attack was repulsed in Shulgara district of Balkh yesterday.

Mohammad Hanif Rezaei, a spokesman for 209th Shaheen Corps, told BNA that a number of Taliban insurgents who attacked positions of the defense and security forces in Khakbad area in Shulgara district of Balkh faced with reaction of security forces.

Rezaei added that five insurgents were killed and three others were wounded in the incidents.

A spokesman for the 209th Shaheen Corps said six Defense and security forces were also wounded in the incident.
