ISIS terrorists attack Hashd al-Shaabi and kills one fighter in western Kirkuk
The Islamic State (IS) insurgents attacked on Sunday a military base of the pro-Iranian Hashd al-Shaabi militias in the district of Dibiz of western Kirkuk province, killing one.
Kurdistan 24 cited its correspondent in the area as explaining that the militants had targeted a unit of the Shi’ite armed groups in the neighborhood of Brayati in Dibiz, leaving a militiaman, identified as Qusai Abbas, dead.
He pointed out that the body of the victim was taken to the forensic department.
The Islamic State was announced defeated in late 2017, but the militant group’s sleeper cells are still active in most liberated areas and continue to carry out terrorist activities against the security forces and civilians.
