The commander of operations, Khudair Al-Matrouhi, told Shafaq News agency, “ISIS is finished in Nineveh. He stressed, “ISIS militants are present in the aforementioned areas and cannot be eliminated in a short time without intensifying intelligence operations, air pursuit by drones and daily reconnaissance detachments”.

Al-Matrouhi highlighted, “destroying dozens of dangerous strongholds and dens for ISIS throughout Nineveh and eliminating dozens of terrorists and important leaders in the organization in the recent security operations”.

He added, “Al-Hashd Al-Shaabi covers all sectors of Nineveh. The security hotspots have come under control. We ristricted the movement of the organization’s members and prevented it from initiating any terrorist attacks. Nineveh regions now enjoy an ideal security situation”.
