Three Islamic State members responsible for missile attack on Uzbekistan killed in Afghanistan

The Taliban killed three militants of the Islamic State and detained five more during the operation in Afghanistan, the Directorate4 Telegram channel reported.

The operation allegedly took place on the night of July 16-17 in Kunduz.

During a search of the terrorists’ house, the Taliban found and seized launchers and rockets. According to a Taliban representative, the detainees were involved in the attack on Uzbekistan, said the report.

It was reported earlier that 5 rockets were fired from the territory of Afghanistan into the territory of Uzbekistan.

The Afghan authorities later stated that they had discovered a launcher from which missiles were fired.
