Two Kurdish shepherds rescued from Islamic State captivity

Two Kurdish shepherds whom the Islamic State (IS) militants had abducted near Kifri on 1st February, have now been rescued.

The abductees, who are brothers, were attending their herd outside their village between Kfri and Tuz Khurmatu when a group of IS militants kidnapped them.

A local security source told BasNews that the jihadists had released the men after their families paid $7,000 in ransom. The men are said to be in good health condition after 16 days of being kept as hostages.
