Aran Sherani is a Melbourne teenager who allegedly bought a knife minutes before he was arrested and charged with terror offences.

He was charged with a string of terror offences including being a member of Islamic State after her was arrested by the Australian counter terror police.

Detectives allege Sherani became radicalised by Islamic Extremists online and that he shared his ideologies with 20-year-old brother Ari.

Sherani is charged for attempting to engage in a terrorist act over an incident at Humevale, north of Melbourne, on 21 February.

Also, Sherani is facing three additional charges including intentionally causing injury to an unnamed person in Preston on 9 March.
