Heavy clashes in villages of Shengal attacked by ISIS terrorists
ISIS gangs launched an attack on the villages of Skine and Hayale which had been liberated by Shengal Women’s Units (YJŞ) and Shengal Resistance Units (YBŞ) in the ‘Operation to Avenge Êzidî Women’ last year.
The gangs conducted the attacks at 00:00 last night from the Tewra village 8 km south of the two villages. The aggression with heavy weapons and car bombs continues.
YBŞ and YJŞ fighters immediately responded to the attacks on both villages under their control, and violent clashes between the two sides are ongoing.
In the meantime, ISIS groups are reported to be bringing in reinforcements to the Tewra village from which they are launching the attacks.
Clashes reportedly continue in between the Shilo triangle area and the Tewra village.
