Four Pakistani soldiers martyred in cross-border terrorist attack

Four soldiers of Pakistan Army have embraced martyrdom in an attack by terrorists who wanted to enter Pakistan from Afghanistan.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), terrorists attacked security forces in North Waziristan from Afghan side of the border on Friday night.

They tried to enter Pakistan by cutting the fence from Hassan Khel area of Pak-Afghan border. The troops retaliated in a timely manner, the ISPS said.

During the exchange of fire, four soldiers embraced martyrdom, the statement reads. They have been identified as Havaldar Wajahat Alam, Sepoy Maqbool Hayat, Sajid Inayat and Sajid Ali.

The area has been cordoned off and the search operation has started.
