Igor Despotovic from Belgrade has been detained on suspicion of committing the crime of Public Incitement to Commit Terrorist Acts.

Despotovic, a Serbian Wahhabi who was in contact with Islamic State terrorist group, was first arrested in 2017 in Belgrade, when he was preparing to mow down people in the city center using a truck.

The plan for an attack such as the one that previously happened in Barcelona were found in his possession at the time.

Despotovic converted to Islam a few years ago and has been constantly in touch with Islamic State (ISIS) leaders.

He will be brought to the Prosecutor’s Office for Organized Crime.
