Military parade in Sana’a showcases Houthis’ arm arsenal

The Houthi armed group conducted a military parade in Sana’a, Seventy Square area, showcasing thousands of members and an array of weaponry, including Iranian-made drones and missiles.

The event, commemorating the Houthi takeover of Sana’a on ‘September 21,’ featured key figures within the group’s leadership, including Mehdi al-Mashat, head of the Supreme Political Council, and Mohammed Ali al-Houthi, Head of the Revolutionary Committee.

Notably, Houthi fighters were seen dressed in Yemeni military and security unit uniforms, while military vehicles prominently displayed images of Houthi top leader Abdulmalik al-Houthi.

The parade also included three military helicopters and a recently restored MiG-29 fighter jet used by the militia.

While the event avoided making direct threats, it appeared to call for regional cooperation to establish stability in Yemen.

In his speech, the leader of the group, Abdulmalik al-Houthi acknowledged the need for significant change in the official situation, emphasizing religious identity, a shared vision, and national partnership as foundational principles for Yemen’s development.

According to a prolonged report in ALMASDAR NEWS, Al-Houthi announced forthcoming phases of radical change to be revealed on the Prophet’s birthday.
