Senior ISIS member killed in internal fight in Diyala

A senior Islamic State (IS) member was killed on Saturday in an internal armed conflict in the Iraqi province of Diyala, a source said.

The source, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said in a statement that they had reliable information that the IS senior leaders had exchanged fire internally in the area of Mitebiji near Diyala and Salahaddin provinces.

According to the source, an economic crisis has affected the jihadist group as it has lost its presence in the cities.
