Taliban attack killed 13 police officers in Afghanistan

At least 13 police officers were killed Wednesday in a Taliban attack in northern Afghanistan, Anadolu Agency reported, quoting an official.

Munir Ahmad Farhad, spokesman of the Balkh governor’s office, told reporters that the Taliban attacked a police station in Chahar Bolak district.

Farhad said that the militants were repelled by the security forces dispatched to the region upon attack.
