At least 26 ISIS terrorist group members are captured in Mosul
At least 26 members of the Islamic State (IS) were captured in northwest of Ninevah province, said a police source on Thursday.
The commander of Ninevah Operations, Cap. Omer Sabah, told BasNews that the security forces conducted a military campaign based on intelligent information from locals near the town of Badush.
The official added that the arrested militants had clashed with the troops before they were brought under control and taken to detention cells for investigations.
The extremist group has already been declared defeated since last year, but its sleeper cells are still active in most liberated areas, continuing to carry out terrorist activities against the national army and civilians.
