ISIS terrorists kidnapped civilian in Hawija southwest of Kirkuk province
The Islamic State (IS) insurgents kidnapped a civilian in Hawija, southwest of Kirkuk province, a local source said.
Talking to Al-Sumariyah News, the source, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said that the militants abducted the civilian on Friday from his house in the village of al-Makam of Riyad district, as cited by Iraqi News.
The security forces conducted a military campaign in search for the jihadists in the area, however, the extremists had already escaped the scene, according to the source.
The militant group’s sleeper cells have lately regrouped in most liberated areas and they continue to carry out terrorist activities against the security forces and civilians.
