Tunisia has repatriated the last ISIS-linked group of women and children who were going under rehabilitation in Libya.

The ten women, along with 14 of their children, were arrested in Sirte during the “al-Bunyan al-Marsous” operation.

They were deported from Libya over three stages, the last took place on Thursday through the Ras Jedir border crossing.

The extradited women and Tunisian authorities thanked those who facilitated their deportation, including the judicial security department, the judicial police in Tripoli, the women’s rehabilitation institution, the Libyan Red Crescent in Tripoli, and other committees for their efforts to complete the process under tight security conditions.

On Wednesday, Tunisia’s President Kais Saied arrived in Tripoli for the first visit by a head of state between the neighboring countries since 2012, where he met new interim Prime Minister Abdulhamid Dbeibah and President Mohammed Menfi.
