Local villagers captured four ISIS terrorists in Diyala

A number of residents of a village in Diyala governorate ambushed four members of the Islamic State (IS) while they were trying to enter the area, said an official.

Amanj Abdulrazaq, a Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) representative in the province, confirmed to BasNews that the people of the village of Gllabad in eastern district of Kfri among which were Kurdish police intelligence who had information on the extremists’s plan, were also able to confiscated three Kalashnikov rifles and some explosives.

He explained that the four militants were Arabs who were handed over to the Police Directorate of Kfri for interrogation purposes.

Although the terrorist group’s defeat was declared in December, last year, it has once again re-emerged in most areas across Iraq.
