Iraqi military uncovered a terrorist act prepared by Islamic State terrorist group

The headquarters of the terrorist group ISIL [ISIL / IS / Daesh] was destroyed near the border with Syria by Iraqi troops. The Iraqi army prevented a planned terrorist act during the operation, BulgarianMilitary.com has learned, citing Qassem Musleh. Musleh is the commander of the Iraqi People’s Mobilization Units.

According to Musleh, many weapons were found and seized during the operation, including light machine guns, heavy ammunition, and 81-caliber mortars. The Iraqis took cars, phones, and laptops. An identification badge of an information agency was found, which provides access and passage through the checkpoints.

The operation took place in the desert of Al-Anbar province. Iraqi military experts have suggested that the planned terrorist attack would have taken place near the Syrian border but did not comment on the attack’s target.

Musleh also added that his units destroyed a new headquarters of the terrorist group in the desert. We remind you that since the beginning of this week, the Iraqi military has been conducting large-scale operations to detect terrorist units and cells in the country.

The Iraqi army also destroyed terrorist buildings and found large quantities of weapons on Tuesday.
