The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported that ISIS mercenaries launched a new attack on the sites of the Damascus government forces within the Badia, as ISIS mercenaries targeted points in the village of Al-Khweliah in the eastern desert of Homs, without information about casualties so far.

This is the fourth attack by ISIS mercenaries within the desert in less than 30 hours.

In a related context, Russian warplanes launched about 20 air raids during the past hours on the Badia of Homs and Raqqa, bringing the number to about 490 raids launched by Russian warplanes on the areas of spread of ISIS mercenaries in the Badia since the beginning of April 2022.

SOHR had documented, during the past hours, the killing of 5 members of the Damascus government forces and its affiliated groups, by bullets from ISIS mercenaries’ cells in the Badia of Deir ez-Zor and Raqqa.

And yesterday, Monday, ISIS mercenaries carried out an attack on the sites of the “17th Division” of the Damascus government forces and “Al-Qaterji” groups in the vicinity of the Kharata oil field in the western desert of Deir Ezzor, coinciding with violent clashes that took place between ISIS mercenary cells and the forces of the Damascus government in “Badia Ghanem Al-Ali” in the eastern countryside of Raqqa.
