Nearly 20 Russian airstrikes hit Islamic State hideouts in Syrian desert

Russian fighter jets have renewed their airstrikes on ISIS hideouts in the Syrian desert, executing nearly 20 airstrikes on ISIS hideouts and hotbeds in Al-Rasafah desert in Al-Raqqah province and in Deir Ezzor desert in the past hours. However, no casualties have been reported.

Accordingly, the number of airstrikes executed by Russian fighter jets on ISIS hideouts in the Syrian desert since early May has risen to 70.

On April 3, eight regime soldiers were injured in an attack waged by ISIS members targeting positions of regime forces and their proxies in Al-Hamra area in Al- Quriyah town desert, east of Deir Ezzor. While Russian fighter jets executed nearly six airstrikes on ISIS hideouts in Al-Rasafah desert in Al-Raqqah countryside.

On April 2, Russian fighter jets carried out nearly 25 airstrikes on ISIS hideouts and hotbeds in Aleppo-Hama-Al-Raqqah triangle, Maadan and Al-Rasafah deserts in Al-Raqqah province, and the eastern Homs desert.
